Here at our beautiful pub, we are passionate about all that is seasonal and local. Our emphasis is on what is good about British produce, and we aim to reduce the food
miles and support local producers and suppliers, making use of the abundant beef, pork, lamb, game and smoked produce that is on our doorstep here in the Cotswolds, and sourcing our fruit and veg where possible from the Vale of Evesham. We are on edge of the historic town of Burford, in Fulbrook village, and have some gorgeous places to stay 3 minutes from our front door! We look forward to seeing you!
“Mentioned in the Sunday Telegraph 1st July 2012 as a reccomended place to eat!”

TRIP ADVISOR REVIEWS:
- Been a couple of times recently, once for evening meal and also for Sunday lunch. Both times the food was excellent- fantastic gravy with the roast beef! Staff were great also, a real find! “
- I am fortunate enough to live within walking distance of this amazing pub. I have had the pleasure of dining at this establishment many many times, and whenever we have guest (living in the Cotswolds this is often) we always without question take them here. The reason I love this pub – and not in order of preference.
The staff are simply amazing – nothing is ever too much trouble, baloons for birthdays, cakes baked for a birthday party, high chairs for small children, special meals for little fussy guest (one time a little guest of ours didn’t want anything on the menu and only wanted sausages – the most amazing sausages were found and served) .
The atmosphere and decor – burning fireplaces in winter, amazing beer garden in summer, cosy, relaxing – a true English pub. As said we bring allot of guest here, especially overseas visitors so they can experience a true English pub experience – we have had nothing but praise on our choice if venue.
The Food – I can not compliment this more. For me, I can not go past the Mushroom stater, each time I say I will try something new but I simply love it and when time comes to order I simply follow my heart. For main the Burger is without question the best I have ever had- without question. My husband LOVES the steaks and he is somewhat fussy about his steaks . The pasta is homemade! This fish – be it calamari, white bait or fish and chip main – is always fresh. The portion sizes are very generous. There is a choice of fries or chips and these are always served hot and perfectly salted – i do love my chips.
The cheese board is what we seem to always finish the night on and once again very generous. So I can not speak to any of the other puddings.
My husband also has an Irish coffee to complete his evening. The pub is also situated on a famous circular walk in the Cotswolds and for the more adventurous the pub could be the perfect start or finish to a beautiful walk or bike ride through some amazing countryside including valleys, streams, ancient churches, wildlife and beautiful scenery. The local tourist information centre in Burford can supply maps.
