The Carpenters Arms Fulbrook, Oxfordshire

Here at our beautiful pub, we are passionate about all that is seasonal and local. Our emphasis is on what is good about British produce, and we aim to reduce the food miles and support local producers and suppliers, making use of the abundant beef, pork, lamb, game and smoked produce that is on our doorstep here in the Cotswolds, and sourcing our fruit and veg where possible from the Vale of Evesham. We are on edge of the historic town of Burford, in Fulbrook village, and have some gorgeous places to stay 3 minutes from our front door! We look forward to seeing you!

Been a couple of times recently, once for evening meal and also for Sunday lunch. Both times the food was excellent- fantastic gravy with the roast beef! Staff were great also, a real find! "

"We have been to this pub restaurant once before, under the present management, and enjoyed our meal very much. We tried it again recently and had another very good meal. Even the vegetables were cooked well, which is a rare experience for us and the service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This is now probably the best restaurant in the Burford area and the standards are likely to be maintained as it is dependent on local, repeat business rather than the pubs in central Burford which cater for the transient tourist market. Wine was ok; loos untested, no particular outlook to speak of but the pub has been attractively refurbished and has a decent sized car park!

BURFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL ARE HOSTING A QUIZ EVENING, ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE QUIZ WILL GO TO THE SCHOOL. IT IS ON THE 24TH MAY. BEGINS AROUND 8, IF YOU ARE EATING PLEASE RING TO BOOK A TABLE OR JUST POP IN FOR A DRINK AND JOIN IN THE FUN! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
